Introduction

The development of science and technology has benefited human life in different aspects; however, this development also came with some problems, including environmental pollution. For many years, fossil fuels like oil and coal have been the main sources of human energy; but their limitation in resources and environmental issues are reasons to look for some alternatives. Scientists believe that by using energy resources like solar, wind and wave energies, known as renewable energies, instead of fossil fuels, we may decrease environmental effects and their related concerns.

Renewable energy actually refers to energy that its resource, unlike non-renewable energy (especially fossil fuels), is capable of being rereplenished by nature in a short period of time or in other words, be renewed.
